In this all-American program, the MSO will perform Claude T. Smith’s poignant Eternal Father, Strong to Save in honor of our troops. The program continues with Edward MacDowell’s Suite No. 2, which draws on motifs from the Iroquois, Iowa, and other Native American tribes to evoke Indigenous life, and concludes with Ferde Grofé’s iconic and sweeping Grand Canyon Suite.
