The Manassas Symphony Orchestra (MSO) celebrates the spirit of the season with a festive afternoon of beloved memories and whimsical discoveries. This annual tradition features a spotlight performance by a brilliant local high school soloist, continuing the MSO’s commitment to showcasing the next generation of musical talent in our community. The program’s centerpiece is Ellen Taaffe Zwilich’s Peanut Gallery. This delightful multi-movement suite brings Charles Schulz’s iconic characters to life through music—from the “Lullaby” for Linus to the energetic “Snoopy Does the Samba.” Alongside these playful sketches, the orchestra will perform a selection of holiday favorites and heartwarming classics designed to evoke the joy and wonder of the season.
The festivities culminate in a spectacular sensory experience: the return of the MSO’s fantastic expanded indoor light and music show. This immersive display pairs holiday favorites with a choreographed light production, filling the hall with the true magic of the season. Join us for an afternoon that promises to brighten the holidays for music lovers of all ages.
