Do you have a garment that needs repair? Give your much-loved clothing a longer life and highlight its unique character with simple, easy-to-learn stitches that are both functional and decorative. This beginner-friendly workshop taught by Emily Fasick, program assistant for the Veterans and the Arts Initiative, will help give damaged pieces new life, as well as a new look, by introducing visible mending techniques inspired by sashiko stitching and boro patchwork.

This workshop is open and FREE to Veterans, Servicemembers, military family members, and military caregivers. Children ages 12 and up may participate alongside a parent/guardian. Space is limited.

Please reference our information sheet for details, including minimum age requirement and community policies regarding Veterans and the Arts Initiative on-site workshops. More information about the on-site workshop will be provided to registrants by email.

Registration for this workshop opens in early March.
