Join us for a six-week virtual series designed for military kids and teenagers where they will learn songwriting skills in a virtual, collaborative environment presented by Mason Community Arts Academy and the Veterans and the Arts Initiative at George Mason University. Students may bring melodies in-progress, or come seeking fresh ideas and creative ways to approach music composition. Students do not need to be advanced singers or musicians to join this program, and will explore techniques of recording, producing, and performing original music at home. After five weeks of virtual workshops, all students will have the opportunity to visit a professional recording studio at the George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA for the final workshop on Sunday, March 12. 

This workshop series is FREE and open to military kids between the ages of 10 and 17. Space is limited.
