Concerto Málaga

Hailed as “the preeminent guitarist of our time,” three-time Grammy Award winner Sharon Isbin makes her Hylton Center debut alongside Spain’s Concerto Málaga. Celebrating its 30th anniversary with its first U.S. tour, the 14-member string orchestra specializes in music of Spanish origin and influence and earned a 2018 Latin Grammy nomination for its SOMM Recordings album featuring works by Enrique Granados and his contemporaries. Described by The Boston Globe as “one of the best guitarists in the world,” Isbin directs the guitar departments at the Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Together, Isbin and Concerto Málaga unite dazzling guitar virtuosity and luminous strings in a powerful and unforgettable musical collaboration.
