LLI: Manassas Chorale: Broadway in Manassas!

Hylton Performing Arts Center, Jacquemin Family Foundation Rehearsal Hall

Speaker/Host: Becky Verner

Whether it’s a Broadway revival like The Music Man or new Broadway songs from current musicals like Dear Evan Hansen and Six (about the wives of Henry VIII), in this class you’ll learn more about the musicals, the story line and the music. You’ll leave humming at least one melody and will know more about the music from a number of different Broadway musicals. For a toe-tapping time, sign up!

Rebecca (Becky) Verner is a Manassas native who holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from East Carolina University with graduate work from Shenandoah University in Church Music. She is also the Traditional Music Director at Manassas Baptist Church, where she directs the Sanctuary Choir and Evensong Bells. She directs the Older Choir of the Greater Manassas Children’s Choir, now in its eighth season.
