Violinist Leonid Sushansky joins Maestro Villani and the MSO for Mendelssohn’s highly-regarded Violin Concerto in E Minor. At age 15, Sushansky debuted with the New York Philharmonic at the invitation of conductor Zubin Mehta. He is the Artistic Director of the National Chamber Ensemble and continues his distinguished career as a performer and teacher. The concert concludes with Respighi’s gorgeous and picturesque tone poem, Pines of Rome.
