Discover the joy of gel plate printing using a gelatin base plate, inks, and other found materials to create fun prints that can’t be reproduced in other ways. In this workshop participants will use a gel printing technique and add writing, stamping, stickers and other ephemera to create unique collages. Led by Led by Valerie Acosta-Gonzalez, retired Air Force Veteran, artist, and assistant with the Veterans and the Arts Initiative at George Mason University, participants will be guided through the gel printing process and then discuss various techniques for creating a cohesive finished product. This workshop is open and FREE to Veterans, Servicemembers, military family members, and military caregivers ages 18 and older. Space is limited. Registration for this workshop opens September 1.
