Current pediatric weight management programs are either inadequate or inaccessible for many Latino families in our community. Mason’s College of Health and Human Services Nutrition and Food Studies multidisciplinary team, which includes experts across nutrition, exercise and clinical psychology, has developed an innovative and culturally-relevant approach to the treatment of pediatric obesity among low-income, Latino children and their families.
