This rags to riches story of a young orphan growing up during the great depression is an American classic. Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, this Broadway version of “Annie” with music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and book by Thomas Meehan, made its Broadway debut in 1977. Eleven year-old Annie has decided to run away from an orphanage to find her parents. Escaping in a laundry basket, Annie finds a stray dog who she names Sandy and her adventures begin.
