Fasten your seatbelts for this expedition through the soundtrack of America with the American Festival Pops Orchestra (AFPO) as they tour the diverse musical roots of our nation—featuring distinctly American styles including jazz, Appalachian folk, blues, country, and classic pop. From coast to coast, and Broadway to New Orleans, experience a vibrant celebration of America’s rich musical melting pot. Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Wilson, U.S. Marine Veteran with 30 years of military service as a violinist and as senior enlisted music advisor to The White House, , this electrifying 60-member ensemble unites top professional musicians from the George Mason University Dewberry School of Music, U.S. Armed Forces ensembles, and premier local orchestras to deliver an unforgettable concert experience. 

George Mason University’s Veterans and the Arts Initiative is proud to provide free tickets for Veterans and Servicemembers to this performance, available in person at the Hylton Center Ticket Office with ID (up to two tickets each).
