The American Festival Pops Orchestra (AFPO) presents Holiday Pops: Songs of the Season, a cherished tradition with Hylton Center audiences. Gather round for this annual concert that is sure to warm hearts and spread cheer. Now in his second season, Artistic Director and Conductor Peter Wilson welcomes old and new friends to the stage for a festive, family-friendly program of musical favorites, including highlights from Tchaikovsky’s original The Nutcracker followed by Duke Ellington’s jazz adaptation featuring AFPO’s Big Band musicians; music from movies including Frozen, Miracle on 34th Street, Polar Express, and Nightmare Before Christmas; special performances by guest jazz vocalists, including Mason Dewberry School of Music Professor Darden Purcell, Navy Band Veteran Courtney Williams, the Mason Jazz Vocal Ensemble; and an uplifting audience singalong of beloved carols. Don’t miss an evening that promises to put everyone—even the “bah humbug” Scrooges—in the holiday spirit!

This performance is appropriate for all ages.

Tickets: $60, $51, $36; half-price for youth through Grade 12

This performance also takes place on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. at our sister venue, the Center for the Arts in Fairfax, VA.
