The full 100-voice Chorale, its smaller Ensemble, and top choirs from select local high schools will perform favorites from a variety of musicals in this sensational season opener.
Rebecca (Becky) D. Verner is the artistic director of the Manassas Chorale. Under her leadership, the Chorale has sung nine Candlelight Concerts at historic Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, and at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City. The Chorale Ensemble has sung at the Washington National Cathedral. Becky is also Director of Music at Manassas Baptist Church, where she oversees the music ministry and directs the adult choir, a children’s choir and adult handbells. Past Dean of the Northern Virginia chapter of the American Guild of Organists, Becky is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, Choristers Guild and serves on two state committees for her denomination. In 2007, the Manassas Parade Committee named her “Woman of the Year.”
